So your curiosity got the better of you, huh? That’s GREAT! Eliquidplanet is dedicated to providing you with the best and most personal experience to help you make the switch from cigarettes. This page will serve as your guide into the world of vaping. Below, you will find everything you need to know to get started, as well as our suggestions as to what should be your first steps.

1.      Who is the Electronic Cigarette intended for?

Electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) are intended for use by ADULTS (19+ years) ONLY. Electronic cigarettes are for those who are looking for an alternative to smoking. ELP understands the hardships that come along with making that change, and believe that e-cigs can assist you in your attempt to choose the alternative.

2.      What is an Electronic Cigarette?

An electronic cigarette is a device that imitates the look and feel of a traditional cigarette without the burning or smoke. It most commonly consists of three basic parts: the battery, the clearomizer, and the drip tip. The battery is activated when the user presses a button to take a "drag" from the "cigarette" which then activates the clearomizer. The clearomizer heats up and "vaporizes" the liquid inside, allowing the user to inhale into the mouth and lungs. The nicotine is then absorbed by the body. You can also design your own e-cig to make it more unique and personalized, changing everything from the colors and sizes to the flavor of the liquid that you are using.

3.      What is Eliquid (Juice)?

Eliquid consists of three main ingredients: Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), and nicotine. These ingredients are considered generally safe by the FDA. Its diverse uses include, but are not limited to: medicines, food, cosmetics, toothpaste, mouthwash, tobacco products, deodorant sticks, and smoke machines.

We have also provided some definitions to help you learn the lingo:

  • Atomizer: The atomizer generally consists of a small heating element responsible for vaporizing eliquid (juice) and a cartridge with a poly-fiber filling that holds the eliquid. One would have to drip juice into an atomizer after a few draws. This is most commonly used for testing different flavors at once.

  • Cartomizer: A cartomizer is similar to an atomizer with a slight advantage-- it consists of a heating element wrapped in a polyfiber. Cartomizers soak up the liquid within the polyfiber so that constant dripping isn’t necessary. Drip about 20-25 drops to fill the standard cartomizers and let it sit for a few moments to fully absorb before attaching to the battery. Usually, these need to be refilled frequently.

  • Clearomizer/Tank: A clearomizer, or tank, is a reservoir that holds a large amount of juice without the use of the polyfibers. There is an atomizer (located at the top or the bottom) that has wicks to draw the juice from the tank to the atomizer which vaporizes the juice. They come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. They can hold anywhere from 2 ml. of liquid to 6+ml. of liquid, allowing for vaping all day without having to refill frequently. The coils used in clearomizers/tanks do need to be replaced; however, the rate at which you replace them depends on how often you are vaping.

  • Coils: The coils consists of the wicks and heating element found inside clearomizers such as the RBC Clearomizer. The wicks draw the liquid up into the heating element where it is vaporized and inhaled. Coils come in a variety of ohms, or resistances. This helps provide a unique experience to vaping. On a standard battery it does not matter which ohm one uses. All it will affect is the type of pull the user gets. The lower the ohms/resistance, the larger the vapor cloud is. For batteries where the user can control the power of the battery, a higher ohm or resistance coil is suggested. Coils are replaceable in clearomizers as the heating element will eventually burn out.

  • Drip Tip: A drip tip is a mouth piece that is used on atomizers, cartomizers, and most commonly clearomizers/tanks. For atomizers and cartomizers, it allows the user to drip directly into it in order to refill and vape easily. They also allow for a specific type of experience; drip tips made from different materials will offer different experiences, such as a warmer/cooler vape, or an airy/hard pull.

Now that you know the lingo let’s get you situated! There are basically two (2) things you will need to start vaping; Starter kit and e-liquid (juice).

The easiest and most convenient set up would be the Smok Tech RBC Kit. It comes with two (2) complete e-cigs, a charger, and a carrying case. It is sleek, small, and the best transitional tool into the vaping world.

Next it would be recommended that you select the juice that is most similar to the cigarette you favor.

Essence liquids have the highest quality in taste and amount of vapor produced. The most popular of the tobacco flavors are:

  • Tobacco- Deep tobacco flavor.
  • USA- Light tobacco flavor.
  • NPT- Menthol tobacco flavor.
  • Ice- Mintier Menthol flavor.
  • Liquid Gold- Deep Tobacco/caramel mixed flavor.

The strength of nicotine is a very important factor as well. If you go too low you will be puffing on your e-cig all day, never really satisfied. If you go too high with the nicotine it will just burn and will not be satisfying OR enjoyable. Below is a table that will hopefully help. *Note – it will always be better to use a lighter amount of nicotine than heavier.*
